All mistrust and judgement, and suspicion and repulse
And you're not the kind they'd ever want to cross
You walk around awake, and wait to see the day of waking through
To sleep, so you can dream of better places to be walking through
It's a schizoid personality disorder blues
Well they've got your time and they've got your freedom
Never be there if you ever need them
You talk and move and act peculiar
Now your old friends won't admit they knew you
Running away on your own again
Is the same as being alone, so then
They'll never ever need to see you
And can get on with their friends
And forget about how you're cursed and how this ends
Yeah
When simple seems so complex, and knowledge is a hex
And the mess you made inside your head leaves you lonely and perplexed
But you know there's no-one else you know who could care less
So you bolt out the gate with the hatred that you
hold for the world there barely disguised
And you wonder why you stand alone and hope that no-one minds
Well alright.
Select the guests that second guess you less, and hope for the first of them lest that's best
Divide the Id and self, and try to let the ego die
And keep your limbs within the boat you fly

I used to see some things, I used to be something
But I was glad to let it blow out
I used to be someone, I was an artist once
But I had to shut it down
And I'm over that now
I used to see somethings that I can't explain

I would take my place in queues
But somehow I would always end up
The last in line
So I had to burn everything I owned
Making sure no trace was left therer
Destroy the evidence
Replacing common sence
Leaving only ashes here

There's just no time to be yourself
And loving under-resourced
Is no love at all - it's just an empty shell
And life inside a cage and thinking underwater
Leaves nothing but an ocan filled with feathers in this age
So leave a penny or a dime
Commit to craft or commit a crime
Survive in silence or sing and die
Or just stay put and lie
It's just so strange and amazing to even be alive.

WHY DID I KILL EVERYBODY
Why did I kill everybody I know?
Why did I kill everybody that I know?
When I last saw them they were my friends
But that was long ago
So why did I kill everybody I know?
It escalated quickly and just sort of got away
From me when I realized I'd let go of the reins
So I met them with an open heart
But left them with a spade
I don't know what's come over me these days
So why did I kill everybody I know?
When i left them they were sleeping
But I'm not sure if they woke
So why did I kill everybody I know?
Their trickery and devious intent, perceived by me
May not have been quite so sinister as I'd believed
So a seed of discontent became this maladjusted tree
"I wish this was not me" (just barks and leaves)
But won't you tell me
If this never really ends
Won't you let my friends live again?
